Join us on Wednesday November 21, 2018, for an afternoon seminar on the work of Finnish architects Raili and Reima Pietilä in Kuwait, as well as the restoration of their works in Finland and India. The talks and discussions will be in English, and no pre-registration is necessary.
The half-day seminar stems from the work of Thorsten Botz-Bornstein, who has followed the fate of the Pietiläs’ Ministry Building in Kuwait in his book “Transcultural Architecture” (2017). In parallel with the seminar, a small exhibition of Professor Botz-Bornstein’s photos of the fate of the Pietilä’s Ministry Building in Kuwait is on display at Otakaari 1, 2nd floor lobby, 21-30.11.2018.
